The Garden of God
by ALOHA DEAN
The famous Garden of the Gods is located on the northern portion and is home to one of the largest, and admittedly, strangest assortments of volcanic rock anywhere in the world. No explanation of their placement on the Pineapple island is given. Sculpted by strong winds, a blazing sun and dry climate, this small desert of giant black stones and rolling brick-red mounds evoke eerie god-like images, especially at sunset.
